I’ve been trying to listen to country music lately to embrace my “roots” or something, but I find myself sitting in my car thinking: I can’t listen to this anymore. So I switch back to my “alternative” or “indie” or “hipster” music or whatever you want to call it. And this playlist is a nice way for me to feel like I’m listening to something close to country, but still it’s not ruined by the “entertainment business” and whatnot. I never even considered “folk” before this.

And maybe nothing I’ve said here is “right” and I’m just “musically ignorant.”
